Hindi records,
club structure

A Bollywood night should not sound like a playlist on shuffle. Same songs, built like a club set — edits, planned peaks, and crossovers into house that keep the floor moving past the singalong.

Why most Bollywood nights fade by midnight

Film music is written for scenes, not dancefloors — long intros, a dialogue break in the middle, a slow section that lands exactly when the room is at its loudest.

Play those arrangements as released and the floor empties every four minutes. Nobody gets bored of the songs; they get bored of waiting through the parts the song needs and the dancefloor does not.

A Bollywood set that works is an engineering job. Intros trimmed, hooks moved, the dialogue break looped out, the chorus everyone screams given room to land — then the next record already underway before the energy can drop. The edits are made in advance, tested on real floors, and rebuilt when they do not land.

01

How the night is built

01

Doors to first drink — the invitation

Retro and mid-tempo Hindi at a volume that lets people talk. Nothing peak-time yet; the job is to make an empty floor feel like a room with potential rather than an awkward silence.

02

First hour — the recognisable hour

Current hits and the records everyone knows the words to, edited tight. Generous programming on purpose: this is when people decide whether tonight is a dancing night.

03

The Punjabi surge

The reliable gear change. Punjabi and bhangra-leaning records push the energy up a level and bring the people standing at the edges onto the floor.

04

The crossover

Hindi vocals over house grooves, familiar toplines on club basslines. Done right the room never notices the genre change — only that it got better. This is the section that separates an open-format DJ from a Bollywood jukebox.

05

Last hour — the send-off

Either deeper into house and tech house for a club crowd, or back to the biggest singalongs for a mixed room. Either way the night ends on a decision, not on the lights coming up mid-track.

Common questions

Is this just a playlist of Hindi hits?

No. The records are Hindi, but the set is structured like a club set — edits that cut the dead weight out of film arrangements, drops placed where the hook actually lands, and planned transitions into Punjabi, commercial and house. A playlist clears a floor at the first slow intro.

Can you mix Bollywood with house and techno?

That crossover is the core of the set. Hindi vocals over house grooves, familiar toplines on four-to-the-floor basslines, percussion loops that belong to both worlds. It lets a night move from singalong to proper dancing without a dip in energy.

Do you take requests on the night?

Yes, when they fit the moment. A request that works gets played; one that would kill the floor gets held for later. Agreeing a must-play and a do-not-play list in advance works far better than a queue forming at the booth at midnight.

How long is a set?

Club and lounge nights usually run two to four hours. College fests and support slots run 45 to 90 minutes. Private parties are planned around the schedule, including food service and speeches.

Can you do a retro-only or theme night?

Yes — 90s and 2000s retro hours, single-decade themes and era-specific mashups can all be built for the night. Say so in the brief and the crate is packed accordingly.
